Hi, I'm Albin

Currently, I'm helping empower the world to design at Canva.

I made this website to share my career story
and ensure the work I do makes a positive impact.

The story of how I started

Albin started his career with a mission to help through tech.
My story started 6 years ago... Strap in.

March 2017
Albin made his mom happy by finishing the business degree he promised he'd complete (love you mom)

As a full scholarship grantee, I finished my business degree major in Computer Applications at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde, with honorable mention. 🏅

While in university, I served as a Student Leader handling key position in Computer Link Organization, Benilde Red Cross Youth Council, and was selected as a Google Student Ambassador for South East Asia.

July 2017
Joined Sterling, a Background and Identity Screening company

At Sterling, I helped with the mission of creating a safer workplace as a Verifications Specialist by conducting pre-employment background check verifying candidates' employment, education, and credentials. It was a great experience knowing the importance of Data Privacy and Disclosures.

December 2017
Started graduate studies in Information Technology

A bold decision for me to start a new journey pursuing a Master's degree in IT at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines.

April 2019
Departed Sterling to shift to a role more inclined to tech

Thankful for the opportunity to help the world be a safer place to work.

During my stay at Sterling, I was trusted to handle high revenue clients in healthcare and financial industry, and contributed to 99+ contact policies making my colleagues life easier in the long run.

“Albin is a self-motivated and detailed oriented person, as he always keeps track of his own progress when it comes to his productivity and quality. He is one of the agents that holds special clients for healthcare and financial accounts... Albin has a potential on being a leader someday...”

Jerome, former Team Leader at Sterling

August 2019
Got accepted as an intern at the first Infobip Training Program in Manila

As one of the chosen interns in APAC, I was tasked to craft a solutions proposal using various communication channels with technical and business considerations in place.

September 2019
🚀 Career shift success
Joined Infobip, a Cloud Communication Platform company

After the internship, I was absorbed by the company as a Core Administration Technician where I help bridge gaps between business and people through tech.

I was also trusted to handle Spam & Fraud tasks, a huge privilege to protect people from malicious actors.

(p.s. this was my first time traveling outside PH ✈️)

June 2020
Leveled up to
Core Registration Engineer (yey!✌️)

After mastering the craft of a Technician, I accepted the challenge to further my technical skills as an Engineer with responsibilities that can affect millions (if not billions) of transaction every single day.

My tenacity under pressure was built on this role where I responded to incidents and coordinated with network operators and regulatory bodies when dealing with urgent and sensitive matters.

March 2021
Ranked up as a Technical Account Administrator (drinks included)

I was trained to handle Accounts and Reporting as part of the new role. I was blessed to share the technical skillset required for the role with Account Managers absorbed by the team.

As a regional member proficient in handling Spam & Fraud, I crafted an onboarding program for local colleagues to equip them the ability to respond to incidents in a proactive and reactive manner.

(p.s. the rakija in the picture was theirs, everyone loves me when I'm drunk 🥴)

November 2021
Promoted as a Senior Technical Account Administrator 🍀

In my most daunting role yet, I heed the call to assist in our team, acting as a Shift Leader of both our department's APAC and India teams. As one of the most tenured members, I led the standardization of common requests through establishing procedures for countries covered by each region.

Aside from monitoring the team's work allocation, work quality, and project progress, I championed knowledge sharing as vital part of our culture, and made sure everyone has the opportunity to shine bright like a diamond. 💎

January 2022
Left Infobip for a family matter

In the midst of pandemic, I had to make a tough decision to leave my lovely team to take care of the one I hold dear (and yes, you've met her already at the start).

My heart is eternally grateful being part of an organization that makes a better world by connecting people through tech. 🧡

“He stands out with his excellent customer service skills in a service desk support role, quality deliverables that received numerous client commendations. Albin is an expert in data administration, account management and troubleshooting of client issues. Albin never shies away from challenges, when a task is assigned to Albin I would already assume it done in a quality standard.”

Vincent, Manager at Infobip
